Dr. Ruifu YUAN, Associate Professor of School of Energy Science and Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University (HPU), China, is a postgraduatesupervisor in mining engineering program. He is also a Key researcher of Henan Provincial Key Laboratory on Mineral Resources High-efficiency Mining and Comprehensive Utilization. He received his master degree in 2007 from Northern University and PhD degree in 2011 from HPU. And in 2016, he finished his Post-doctoral research work in Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2014~2015, as a visiting scholar, he ever conducted research work in Mining Group of CSIRO, Australia.

He has supervised more than 10 postgraduates and consulting projects from National Natural Science Foundation and Coal Group Companies and etc. and gained 6 Provincial Prize on Science and Technology. He authored and co-authored 3 books and more than 30 journals and proceedings papers in the areas of coal mining method, coal mine ground control, and forecast and protection of coal mine dynamic disaster.

Research interests: mainly on forecast and protection of coal mine dynamic disaster, strata movement and ground control.
