The 6th International Conference on Design and Analysis of Protective Structures(DAPS2017) was held from 29 November to 1December in Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. About 130 participants were from more than 20 countries.
DAPS 2017 conference had 3 main tracks: protective materials, above ground protective structure, and underground protective structures. The conference topics included shock and impact load, material behavior under blast, impact and explosion tests, structural behavior and damage, protection concepts and design, numerical modelling and simulation.
Our school teacher, Dr. Wen Wang participated the conference and gave a report. His topic title was “Strength and Failure Characteristics of Natural and Water-saturated Coal Specimens under Static and Dynamic Loads”.
He communicated with many participants in underground engineering and rock dynamics.
