Dr. Xianbo SU professor, doctoral supervisor, the one-level Taihang scholar. At present he holds the position of team leader in the innovation team named “engineering of coalbed methane extracting” of the collaborative innovation center of coalbed methane and shale gas for central plains economic region, Henan Province, academic leader in the innovative research team of engineering of coalbed methane extracting, member of geological society of China and China Coal Society. He founded CBM engineering major in Henan Polytechnic University. He has 6 doctoral students and 36 master students and 7 postdoctors. He has been presiding over 56 scientific research projects, including 22 government sponsored researches, 34 crossing research projects and 14 certified varieties. He has presided over 2 researches from National Natural Science Foundation and is presiding over 2 researches from National Natural Science Foundation, 1 subsidiary subject of the national 973 research project and 1 major public welfare in Henan province. He published more than 80 core papers，including 12 papers accepted in SCI and 12 papers accepted in EI. He published 5 books. He gained a number of Provincial Prizes, including 1 grand prize, 3 first prizes, and many second prizes. He applied 63 patents and 53 patents are approved, including 13 utility model patents and 40 patents for invention. He received the title of outstanding technical talent in coal industry in 2004, science and technology leader in Education Department of Henan Province in 2008, technological innovation leader in Henan Province in 2011.
