Quanyu Kang, Party Secretary of School of Energy Science and Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University (HPU), China, is a professor and master supervisor. He received his bachelor degree in 1984 from HPU and master degree from China University of Mining and Technology in 1995.

As an academic and technical leader of Henan education department, he has supervised more than 30 researches and consulting projects from Science and technology department of Henan province and correlative corporation and etc. and gained 8 Provincial Prize on Science and Technology and 2 National utility model patents. He authored and co-authored 5 books and more than30 journals and proceedings papers. Professor Kang’s current focus is on the areas of mining technology, underground pressure and roof control.
