Yan Chen, male, born in Shangqiu, Henan province, PhD, lecturer, master supervisor, letter evaluation expert of National Natural Science Foundation of China, member of Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering. In June 2018, he received his ph. D. degree in geotechnical Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). His research interests include rock mass failure mechanics and constitutive theory, geotechnical mechanics theory and engineering, rock concrete failure and seepage theory.

Currently, he is in charge of one youth fund project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one key scientific research project of higher education institutions in Henan Province, one doctoral fund project of Henan Polytechnic University, and one laboratory open fund project. As a major participant, he has completed a number of scientific research projects including national key R&D program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. In the International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences, Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment, Journal of Central South University and other academic journals published more than 20 papers, including more than 10 papers indexed by SCI/EI (first author and corresponding author).He has published 2 monographs and 2 teaching and research papers, and won 2 second prizes at provincial and ministerial level and 1 second prize at departmental level. Teaching courses such as Roadbed and Pavement Engineering, English for Traffic Engineering majors and Principles and methods of pavement design, we plan to recruit graduate students from mining engineering, resources and environment, and traffic and transportation engineering.
